The Invent the Future Program was designed to engage youth of diverse backgrounds in computer science and engineering design through hands-on, project based learning experiences that bring together technical skill building, creative problem solving, and social-emotional development.

This year, almost 1,500 middle school students from across the region answered the question: What will you make to improve life on this planet?

Through the process of designing their own inventions, students learn to innovate, solve problems, and collaborate with others – all skills they’ll need to one day invent the future.

Each year, we host an Invent the Future Celebration in June to showcase student inventions and bring together members of the community, elected officials, education leadership, and families. We also announce invention award-winners at the celebration.

Join us to celebrate the amazing achievements of these student inventors! Our goal is to secure donations for Invent the Future prize winners, typically in the form of gift certificates to restaurants or experiences. These prizes reward students for their innovation and dedication, and encourage them to continue participating in Invent the Future and other STEM education initiatives.
