Description
Kindred Kitties is an all-volunteer, no-kill cat rescue organization in Kenosha, WI. We celebrated our 15th anniversary in 2015. While we are located in Kenosha, WI we actually serve southeastern WI and northeastern IL. Most of our animals are in Foster Homes, but we do operate a small adoption center in Kenosha. In addition to cat rescue, we facilitate low-cost spay/neuter and participate in community events advocating for and educating about cats. As we are an all-volunteer organization about 95% of the funds generated at "Its in the Bag" go to direct animal care.
This is our 6th annual "It's in the Bag" event. It is our largest fundraiser generating approximately 25% of our income. There are a number of games, raffles, a silent auction, a bake sale, cork pull, food and fun. Each year attendance grows. Over 400 people attended in 2014 and we expect over 500 to attend this year,
