The main fundraising efforts are held in March with three “Jam the Gym” Basketball Events.  Approximately 200 volunteers invest countless hours organizing, soliciting and conducting the fundraisers for the recipients. Because of this, there are no administrative costs; ensuring 100% of the proceeds are used to help the selected recipients.

The three main fundraising events are held throughout the west central area in the towns of Bird Island, Glencoe and Wabasso Minnesota. The main draw of each event is a boys and a girls basketball game featuring the local high school senior basketball players. Other events are also held throughout the evenings such as concession stands, t-shirt sales, raffle ticket sales and silent auctions featuring donated sports memorabilia and other items from local businesses and community members. Throughout the evenings the crowds are entertained by local talent and professional Minnesota mascots such as Crunch, TC, Goldy, and Prowl along with the Utah Jazz “Bear”. Other special entertainment throughout the evenings has featured the Fargo-Moorhead Acro Team, Alexandria Aces and local clown clubs and dance studios. Approximately 3500 people attend the events.
