Jazz Under the Stars! The Lake Highlands Area Band Club is proud to bring back this beloved community event held on the field in Wildcat-Ram Stadium. This unique outdoor picnic combines our annual Silent Auction while putting our student talent centerstage for an unforgettable and family-friendly concert experience. 

We are pleased to have Jazz Trumpeter Luke Wingfield, Musician First Class for the U.S. Coast Guard as our headliner. A Texas native, Mr. Wingfield previously served as the Lake Highlands Jazz Ensemble Instructor and was a soloist with the Grammy-nominated One ‘O Clock Lab Band. The event will also feature performances from our student jazz ensembles.

As public educators continue to fight for critical dollars, school programs depend on community support to supplement enriching and engaging experiences for all students. Jazz Under the Stars helps to support the 600+ band students across three schools with a variety of student enhancements including: 

• Private lesson scholarships to raise individual talent
• Marching band show design, props and uniforms
• Band trip scholarships to ensure all students can attend
• Guest conductors and guest artists who clinic our programs
