The Joe13 Golf Classic is the third annual golf tournament held in honor of our son, Joe, who we lost at 9 years old to leukemia in 2019. This event is hosted by The Joe DeWaele Memorial Foundation which is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit organization. All funds will be directed to high risk pediatric leukemia research being conducted at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The researchers at The Mullighan Lab are working diligently to find a cure and less toxic treatments for the specific subtype of leukemia that took Joe from us. To date we have donated $42k to this crucial research under the newly established "Joe DeWaele Research Grant". It is our goal to continue to support this research until a cure is found. So that, one day, children are not dying from this horrible disease.
