Dear Community Member,
I would like to take a bit of your time to introduce you to Joey’s House and ask for your
support for our upcoming Trivia Night Fundraiser, which funds our Camp Champion,
held each summer at no charge to the campers.
Joey’s House, a non-profit 501(c)(3), was founded in 2020 by a parent, special
education teacher and developmental therapist. They recognized a need for quality
programming for adolescents and adults with special needs. This group of
individuals require a significant level of support and services. The founders and
organizations members are dedicated to making a difference in this for these
adolescents and adults.
The mission of Joey’s House is to provide a safe, structured and supportive
environment for people with special needs. Through individual support and 1:1 coaches,
the adolescents and adults are provided appropriate experiences that facilitate growth
of skills, while providing trusted care for families.
Camp Champion hosts 15-20 campers for a week-long day camp in July, designed for
individuals who might not otherwise have an opportunity to attend a camp with quality
supports in place. Camp Champion is unique in that it is offered to families completely
free of cost. In 2024, due to the generosity of donors like you, we were able to fund
100% of Camp Champion through Trivia Night alone.
We would like to invite you to be a partner in this event, by an in-kind donation for
our raffle or being an event sponsor, you would be making a contribution that will
help us meet our $20,000 giving each camper a memorable experience.
Your generosity will not go unnoticed by those at our event. You will be featured on our
communications and website, along with our social media.
