Description

The mission of the Orange County Regional History Center is "To serve as a gateway for community engagement, education, and inspiration by preserving and sharing Central Florida’s continually unfolding story."

As a non-profit organization, (Tax ID# 59-1860444) the Historical Society supports the Orange County Regional History Center’s mission and programs, and has been committed to advancing the learning opportunities of children in the Central Florida area. As part of our continuous effort to support this cause, we will be hosting the 14th Annual John Young History Maker Celebration. For the past fourteen years, the Historical Society has recognized the outstanding achievements of select community members by bestowing this prestigious award upon a Central Floridian whose lifetime achievements has made historic impact on the community.

For the first time, this year’s event will include an upscale silent auction. Proceeds from Annual John Young History Maker Celebration will provide critical funds for youth educational initiatives, and support for disadvantaged children to attend field trips and museum programs, and more.

Traditionally the John Young History Maker is a gala-style dinner event due to COVID-19 we have had to make the change for the event to be a virtual livestream event via Zoom to honor the awardees and the scholarship winner as well as including an upscale silent auction. In the past our sponsors have purchased a table and received a 4 course meal. Since the event is now virtual we will be honoring the awardee with a toast at the end of the livestream and would like to provide each one of the sponsors with a wine basket and sweets. On behalf of the Historical Society of Central Florida, I am writing to request an in-kind donation of sweet treats that we may add to this basket.

Your donation will make this year’s event a special and successful celebration. Not only will your gift have a direct influence in the lives of Central Florida’s children, but it is also an opportunity to showcase and promote your company to a large, affluent audience. Please be the spark that lights a child’s life and help them discover the fun of learning.

Attached is a donation form that you may complete and return with your tax-deductible, in-kind donation, or we can make arrangements to pick up if preferred. Thank you in advance for supporting The Historical Society of Central Florida. Please feel free to contact me with any questions at (407) 836-8502, or email at Megan.Partington@ocfl.net
