Junipero Serra High School is making plans for its sixth annual golf tournament on July 22, 2022 at Chester Washington Golf Course. The success of this event is credited largely to our sponsors who lend their names and financial support to the event. The money we raise each year goes to support our educational programs and provides tuition assistance for our students. Our mission is to develop academically strong individuals who embody solid spiritual and social values and effective leadership skills. These are the foundation for which our school has strived to achieve since 1950. Our strong identity imbues students with a sense of values that bolsters their success in the classroom, on the athletic field, and beyond. Every Serra student receives a diversified college preparatory education rooted in the liberal arts and sciences. Serra’s demanding curriculum challenges students to develop not only their intellectual abilities, but all the discipline to meet challenges and achieve goals on a daily basis. This discipline is necessary in preparation for college, careers, and for life.

The majority of students attending our school come from south and South Central Los Angeles. Our student population consists of 65% African-American, Hispanic 25%, Asian & South Pacific Islanders 5%, and others 5%. The male to female ratio is 60% male and 40% female. Two-hundred and four of our 340 students are below the Federal Poverty Guidelines and only able to attend our school as a result of the generous investments of our donors.

All proceeds from the tournament and silent auction go directly to help defray the educational costs of at-risk/low-income youth who attend our school. We are seeking donations to our silent auction that will be held at the tournament dinner held following the event. By supporting our event, you will not only be helping these deserving students, your organization will benefit from extended exposure through media campaigns and promotional efforts.
