Description

KEYS TO AWARENESS (K2A) is an organization that increases awareness to mental health through connecting people and organizations to various life dependent resources in a shameless and entertaining environment. The medium we chose to create this environment is to host a variety of charitable events that not only increases mental health awareness, but provides scholarships and essential life dependent resources to those in need.

We are hosting our first Mental Health “Walk” on May 18, 2024 at San Bernardino Valley College, CA.  Below you shall find some highlights that will be at the event:

·       Individuals and groups will register to walk the track throughout the day

·       Local government agencies providing resources and mental health assessments

·       Non-profit organizations providing resources and coping strategies

·       Presentation by Mental Health professionals

·       Dignitary and motivational speakers

·       Live music, activities, celebrity appearances and performances throughout the day

·       Kid Zone to include game trucks, music, games, activities and coping strategies

·       Wellness area to include yoga, self-care remedies, holistic alternatives, and etc.

·       Local vendors selling food, crafts, and etc.

Funds generated from this event will go towards a community giveback drive in August 2024 at Kohls Department store in Riverside, CA for underprivileged children returning to or entering school (Clothing items, hygiene products, grooming, school supplies, food and resources for the families) and other unique events providing awareness to mental health.

We are asking for your support and hope you will be able to partner with our organization through a sponsorship or donation that will allow us to secure and host public events, provide monetary scholarships and essential resources to those affected by mental illness. However, monetary donations of any amount will be accepted and appreciated. Also, K2A welcomes product donations by way of goods and services that can be provided to the public during K2A sponsored events. We are a non-profit organization and donations will be tax-deductible. Documents needed for tax purposes will be made available upon request.
