Kids Night Out is an exciting annual event benefiting the children served by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City. Kids Night Out serves two important purposes. First, it provides an opportunity for Club members (children ages 5-18) to see a “star”, a positive role model who cares enough about them to perform in their honor. In addition, the event provides an opportunity for the Clubs to raise much needed funds to operate core Boys & Girls Clubs youth development programs for nearly 7,000 urban core youth annually. The evening includes a pre-party, dinner and the celebrity performance.

Proceeds from Kids Night Out will be used to meet the annual operating expenses of the Boys & Girls Clubs’ youth development programs.

Since 1997, this annual event has raised nearly five million dollars. Kids Night Out has featured dynamic visits from Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Douglas, Julie Andrews, John Lithgow, Cuba Gooding, Jr., John Travolta, Sidney Poitier, Bill Cosby, Jay Leno, Gregory Hines, Magic Johnson, and Muhammad and Lonnie Ali in previous years.
