It is a pleasure to share that the YMCA of Greater Hartford’s 22nd Annual “Kids to Camp” Golf
Tournament, presented by Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast, will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023,
at TPC River Highlands.

The tournament supports the Y’s ability to ensure that every kid has the opportunity to attend
summer camp regardless of financial circumstances. A Y camp experience is often life-changing
and allows youth to explore the outdoors, be active, make new friends, build confidence, and
develop leadership skills.

Last year, with community partners like you, we raised over $150,000, which directly impacted the
lives of hundreds of youth who received financial assistance to have an experience of a lifetime at a
Y camp. According to the CDC, mental health concerns for children are on the rise. In 2022,
Connecticut ranked 12th in the nation among states reporting children who had major
depressive episodes and are at risk—up 14% from 2021. Camp offers the opportunity to
learn coping skills in a safe space. With your support of the Kids to Camp Golf Tournament, we
can ensure every youth can attend camp, regardless of their ability to pay.
