Description
To Whom It May Concern,

On February 25th, 2015 the Kappa Omicron chapter of Sigma Kappa will be holding our annual King of Hearts Pageant, an Ultra Violet philanthropic event benefiting Sigma Kappa Sororityʼs philanthropies, which include Alzheimerʼs Research, Gerontology, Inherit the Earth, and the Maine Sea Coast Mission. We would like to extend you the opportunity to be a part of this Sigma Kappa event this year. This is the fourth year of our philanthropic pageant. Last year we raised a grand total of $10,000 and we are wishing to exceed this goal! We greatly appreciate any support you can offer. We are also accepting product donations to be auctioned off during the intermission of the pageant. Net proceeds from the Ultra Violet King of Heart’s Pageant will benefit Sigma Kappa Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Sigma Kappa Sorority. Through contributions from our chapters, individual members and friends like you, the Sigma Kappa Foundation is able to:

• Award up to $50,000 to researchers in the fight against Alzheimerʼs, a devastating disease that is now our nationʼs seventh leading cause of death.
• Provide funding for educational programs and resources designed to promote personal and leadership development among Sigma Kappa members.
• Encourage going green through Inherit the Earth Programs
• Provide financial assistance to members facing financial crises.

Thousands of people benefit from these programs, and we would greatly appreciate your support of the Sigma Kappa Foundation. As a charitable organization, Sigma Kappa is classified as a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Therefore, your donation is tax deductible as allowed by the law. Please write checks out to “Sigma Kappa Foundation.” With your cash or merchandise donation to this Sigma Kappa Foundation event, we are sure these programs will continue to grow.
