I am writing to request an item to include in our auction for the King of Hearts Gala on January 26, 2024. Christ the King Jesuit College Prep, a Catholic school on Chicago’s West Side and a member of the Cristo Rey Network, challenges and inspires its young women and men through the integration of academics, work experience, and extracurricular activities to lead lives of integrity, faith, and servant leadership.

Our students are 88% Black/African American and come from families with a median income of $26,861 for a family of five, yet 100% of our graduates have been accepted to college for the past 12 years. I would like to personally invite you to join us this year by becoming an auction partner for the 16th Annual King of Hearts Gala. Last year, the gala raised over $500,000 to provide critical financial aid that bridges the gap between what our students earn in their work-study assignments, what their families can afford to pay, and the actual cost of their education.

The 16th Annual King of Hearts Gala will take place on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 5:45-11:00 PM at the Fairmont Chicago at Millennium Park. (200 N Columbus Dr, Chicago, IL 60601). This unique annual event brings together a diverse group of friends and Jesuit education supporters, including corporate and business leaders, young professionals, and representatives from many philanthropic and civic organizations throughout Chicago.

We expect over 500 guests in attendance. Please consider donating to our upcoming 2024 event to be included in our auction.
