At the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland our mission is to serve the children in our
community. Each year the Club puts on our annual Kiwanis Cares for Kids
Auction. In the past we have raised money for many great causes in the
community, including the Dream Center, Parker Street Ministries, LVIM and
many others. This year we are spicing up the event! We are adding a touch
of the Caribbean as we put on Kiwanis Cares for Kids Auction – Caribbean
Casino Night.

We will be hosting a night of food, drinks, games and a silent auction as we
raise money this year at our island themed party. The night will conclude
with a live auction and raffle for the biggest prizes of the evening. Caribbean
Casino Night will be a blast as we send off summer in style!
While we will be focused on turning the Lake Mirror Auditorium into a
Caribbean Paradise, we are still clear on our mission as a club: supporting
children. This year we will be supporting the Peace River Center at their
new facility on North Lake Avenue. The new center has a wing dedicated to
the care of children in our community in crisis. After touring the facility and
seeing the work that they are doing, there is no doubt in my mind we have
chosen a truly deserving organization to support this year.

That is where you come in. We need your help! Our goal is to raise at least
$25,000. These funds will be designated to support the Child/Adolescent
Unit at the Lakeland Crisis Campus. Enclosed, is a sponsorship package for
this year’s themed Kiwanis Cares for Kids Auction – Caribbean Casino Night
on August 17, 2018 at the Lake Mirror Auditorium! Your support through a
sponsorship for the event is crucial in making an impact in the lives of children
who are experiencing a mental health emergency.
