2022 was a big year for The Core Collective at Saint Vincent, formerly known as St. Vincent Home for Children. In December, we announced a new vision, mission, and brand that align with our exciting future. A vital key to decision-making during the rebranding process was staying true to our rich historical roots as an organization. For 31 years, Kookin’ for Kids has provided critical funding for our programs that allow us to continue serving over 500 individuals each year through providing secure housing, treatment and supportive services, and community-based services. The Core Collective at Saint Vincent is hosting our 32nd annual Kookin’ for Kids, and this year, we’re bringing you a Taste of the Bayou! This year’s event will offer our guests the opportunity to sample mouthwatering Cajun/Creole dishes from some of St. Louis’s finest eateries, bid on fantastic Live Auction items, and enjoy a Friday night filled with New Orleans style fun! The event takes place on Friday, August 11th, from 6:00pm-10:00 pm at the Ritz-Carlton in Clayton, Missouri.

Through donating an auction item, you are providing a philanthropic investment to an organization who has provided services to our community for over 172 years. You will be helping us reach our fundraising goal, thus helping change the lives of those we serve. Proceeds from your auction item will support critical programs throughout the year and make it possible for us to bring much-needed wraparound services to youth, their families, and community members.

Our goal is to raise $250,000 to aid the programs and services at The CC. The CC has historically helped children/youth and their families from across St. Louis who are living with mental, behavioral, or emotional health challenges caused by a traumatic occurrence in their life. Your support is vital to the overall success of the event, and we believe deeply that these partnerships are helping to transform the lives of hundreds of youths in crisis.
