Dear Friends of KTWU/PBS –
It’s that wonderful time of year to begin thinking about Lights, Camera, Auction! 2015. This year has brought KTWU much joy and celebration as we continue to celebrate our 50th anniversary with a bigger and better Lights, Camera, Auction! More viewers, more bidders and more fun are in store for one of the most popular shows KTWU produces throughout the year! Be part of the excitement and tradition!
KTWU is blessed to have generous contributors who fill the KTWU studio every November with hundreds of products and services from our viewing area and beyond. This year the KTWU–TV “Live” auction begins with a bang on Friday, November 6, and ends Sunday, November 8, 2015. Friday is Sports & Rec Night; Saturday will have an array of fabulous items; and the finale on Sunday, features the Major Donor Gifts.
Public Television needs your support here in Kansas. We at KTWU/PBS continue to bring educational, award winning Children’s programs to families across NE Kansas, with shows like Sesame Street, Dinosaur Train, Super Why, and Clifford. Shows you no doubt grew up watching. This is only possible thanks to donors like yourself. With State and Federal budget cuts in public broadcasting, NOW more than ever we turn to our community business leaders for assistance. Help us reach our goal of $50,000 in celebration of our 50th anniversary!
Donations from the Auction help provide the exceptional programming you have come to expect from KTWU, your local public television station for all of eastern Kansas, southeast Nebraska, and southwest Missouri. Individuals and companies donating merchandise, gift certificates, gift baskets, services and more, receive great exposure not only over this three day event, but also for several weeks prior to the Auction. By utilizing Auction Anything, KTWU begins the on-line portion of the Auction in October. This process allows bidders more time to see your donation and even place pre-bids! These bids carry into the live, on-air version of Lights, Camera, Auction! KTWU is offering greater marketing opportunities for our donors than ever before.
Please consider making a contribution to KTWU’s Lights, Camera, Auction! 2015. Our volunteers will be calling you in the next few weeks to inquire about your donation. All donated items are due by October 10, 2015 to be included in this year’s Auction. Please let me know how we might partner with you for this wonderful, worthwhile community event!
