To whom it may concern:

My name is Alejandro Herrera, Community Recreation Program Coordinator for the City of Dalla's Anita Martinez Recreation Center. We are a community recreation center that values belonging and welcomes everyone to participate in our programs and events. We strive to do this especially due to being located in low-income neighborhood in West Dallas, so a majority of our services are free or very low cost. We have an upcoming event on December 15 called La Posada which is series of fiestas navideñas (Christmas parties) that traditionally take place December 16–24 in many Latin American countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Cuba. Many people of Latino heritage in the U.S. also partake in the tradition. Unfortunately, this year we aren't going to be able to offer toys for tots for our families and youth which has been a huge part of our holiday event in the past. We are working diligently on getting the support of businesses to donate what they can to continue offering extraordinary and special experiences, but we can't do this without the help of organizations such as you all.

I am aware that we may not even get a response and or approval which is understandable as there are a lot of organizations just like us seeking assistance especially during the holiday season. However, if there is consideration for us to receive any type of donation for our upcoming event it would mean a lot for us!
