Since 1983, the 200+ volunteers of the Ladies Guild have worked to enrich the lives of children and their families at Father Joe's Villages, the largest provider of shelter and comprehensive services for the unhoused population in San Diego county. These include over 200 children every year who range from infants to teenagers, each with their unique needs and challenges.

This year's fundraiser is a luncheon at The Dana on Mission Bay with 250 guests. The highlight of the event is the silent/on-line auction from which we hope to raise $25,000 - $30,000. 

These funds are used to support a variety of events and programs, including birthday parties and ice cream socials, and to provide esential items such as school backpacks, socks and underwear, baby blankets and more. We also help support early education and childcare programs. Our most fun event is two days of holiday shopping. We rent buses to take the parents shopping with money for each child, then wrap presents together. This program helps homeless kids feel loved and lets their parents save money for permanant housing.
