Description

Come celebrate connection, empowerment, and hope at Unity in Community, Los Angeles Dysautonomia Network's annual fundraising event that brings together supporters, patients, and caregivers in support of LADN’s life-changing work for Californians affected by dysautonomia. Last year was an unforgettable gathering, and this year will be even more special!

We are a nonprofit organization – Los Angeles Dysautonomia Network (LADN) – and we’re reaching out for community support through donations to our 2025 Unity in Community fundraiser silent auction & raffle. Thanks to donations from many generous businesses last year, our 2024 fundraiser raised $68,000—doubling the prior year’s funds—welcomed over 250 attendees, and garnered 50 enthusiastic bidders! We also celebrated recognition from Congress Member Judy Chu and Supervisor Kathryn Barger, and were honored when Matilda and Mrs. Doubtfire actor Mara Wilson joined us as an official LADN Ambassador.

LADN accomplished much in 2024! Our community grew by 103%, and we now serve over 500 dysautonomia patients and caregivers across California. We ask for your support as we strive to meet this growing demand by providing the following vital services:

  • Mental Health & Community Programs combat isolation for patients and caregivers through support groups, community-building events, a book group, and a peer networking program.
  • Educational Initiatives include wellness workshops, guest speakers, and educational resources for patients and the public.
  • Healthcare Access Grants provide financial support for patients struggling to afford dysautonomia-related healthcare costs.

A donation to our event helps fund these crucial programs, particularly as dysautonomia affects an increasing number of people – an estimated 79% of individuals with Long Covid develop dysautonomia. One of the most common forms predominantly affects women, with first onset occurring at 14 years old on average. We invite you to learn more about dysautonomia in our brief animated video!

Silent auction items will be promoted through our catalogue, social media, email list (700 subscribers – 70% average open rate), website, and with a banner at the event. We have received press coverage by Arroyo Magazine, Colorado Blvd, Pasadena Weekly, and Pasadena Now, and press will be invited to the event. Bidding opens online on May 18th and closes with the event on June 1st, 2025. We also welcome event sponsors and swag bag donations!

Your support would be invaluable to the success of our organization’s goals to support a community in great need. Thank you so much for your consideration!
