The Lake County Public Library prides itself in being a very active contributor to the United Way of Northwest Indiana through employee donations and staff volunteerism.  The United Way is a vital part of the Lake & Porter Counties communities through the many volunteers and non-profit agencies which serve Lake & Porter Counties in many aspects of life.  The library is committed to helping out in any way possible through creative United Way fundraising activities.                                    

This year’s library employee campaign theme is STAR WARS!  May the Force BE YOU in the community!  This is the Way! The library is holding a Staff In-Service Day which will include the United Way Campaign Kickoff (games & activities) and Benefit Fair on Monday, October 9, 2023 at our Merrillville (Main Branch) location.  This event will have close to 150 employees in attendance.  We would be grateful if you would sponsor our event by donating a prize for our Employee Raffle in which all proceeds will be donated to the United Way of Northwest Indiana.  Any item no matter how small will be greatly appreciated.  If donating, please have prizes sent in by Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
