On Thursday, October 12th, we will host Larry VandenBrink’s Dinner Gala at the Portland Art Museum. We are excited to bring together up to 400 members of the community in support of this incredible event and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CF Foundation).

Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects more than 40,000 people in the United States and over 100,000 people worldwide. In people with cystic fibrosis, a defective gene causes a thick buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. In the lungs, mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria, leading to infections, extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

Funds raised at this event will go to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s mission to CURE cystic fibrosis and provide ALL people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, partnering with the CF community, and advancing high-quality, specialized care.

This year marks the 26th anniversary of this incredible event highlighting a silent auction. As our chapter supports over 500+ families living with CF across ALL of Oregon & SW Washington, we aim to feature packages celebrating businesses across our whole region. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit and our tax id is 13-1930701.

Our supporters include top corporate, medical and community leaders from across the Pacific Northwest who align with us as a results-driven organization where your support makes a true impact. Your generous contribution will be recognized within pre-event communications, our event website, event auction displays, as well as in our event program. We ask that all certificate donations be valid through at least October 12, 2024.

While we have seen incredible progress, many children with CF do not benefit from existing therapies and still face the sobering prospect of a shortened life span. Your support can go a long way in continuing to advance life-changing medications getting us closer to the time when CF can stand for “Cure Found.”
