The AFGL is planning a community-based tournament event in January at Chimera Golf Course with fan zones, activities, vendor tables, nonprofit partners, and other sponsors. The event in January will include a team event between the US National Team and the Mexican National Team, the Battle of the Border, which should bring an incredible field of international players as well as some of the best of the US team. Our hope at the event is to engage more people in FootGolf, specifically youth. We do have a couple of non profit partners, FEAT of Southern Nevada (focused on serving children and families with Autism) and CARE Coalition (substance abuse prevention focused organization), who will be helping us engage various community groups. We do have plans to hold a FootGolf camp with FEAT of Southern Nevada in the spring, which we will announce during the tournament. And CARE Coalition is looking to add FootGolf to their programming supported through the Police Athletic League partnership they have for prevention programming. As part of the event we will be holding several raffles and an auction to raise funds to support expanded FootGolf opportunities locally and develop a process and approach to expand FootGolf in other markets where we have players, clubs, or regularly scheduled tournaments.

Entry to the tournament will be free to the public, but we'll have raffle tickets, silent auctions, activities (will require tickets or passes to be purchased), nonprofit partners with programming and activities, fan spectator areas (with food and beverages available for purchase), and a post-tournament round short-course fan scramble (tickets or passes to be purchased -- team up with friends, family, and participating FootGolfers from the tournament). We have a Sponsorship Deck available for monetary donations, but we're also seeking in-kind donations to support the raffles, activity zone prizes, and silent or online auction items.
