Description

Shane’s Future Days is a 501(c)(3) volunteer non-profit foundation whose mission is to raise awareness, research funds and assist families currently battling alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma and other high risk childhood cancers. September is childhood caner awareness month and we thought this was the best time to launch our first in person fundraising event in two years. "Let's Bowl Over Childhood Cancer" will be held September 24, 2022 from 2-6pm at South Bowl in Philadelphia. We will have raffles and a silent auction. All donors will be highlighted on our website and social media outlets. Additionally, the venue has projection screens above each lane and theoughout the venue to highlight our donors.
All proceeds will go towards out mission. Locally, we are introducing our legacy program, Shane's Beats from the Heart in collaboration with the Children's Hospital of Philadelpgia's Palliative Care team. Shane's Beats from the Heart is our legacy project which will provide bereaved childhood families with a heartbeat recording. This recording includes the child’s synchronized heartbeat to a favorite or meaningful song. This specially curated keepsake is made by the music therapist in collaboration with the family, who is integrated throughout the creative process. It is the perfect duet of a child and family, symbolizing their legacy of love.
