Because of Businesses and People like YOU, we were able to help a 16 year old boy Mikey.  He suffers from 2 rare syndromes.  He has been medically complex since birth, having numerous surgeries and hospital stays.  He is nonverbal, mainly g-tube fed, and follows up with over 20 specialists on an ongoing basis, including palliative care. Mikey deals with pain daily and is on numerous pain medications as well.  Warm water helps his pain and loosens his muscles, which overall makes him feel better.  Mikey’s parents asked for a soaking tub and a floor mounted faucet to help Mikey feel better from the pain he suffers everyday so that is exactly what the Aubrey Rose Foundation and Businesses like yours were able to help his family with. Helping Mikey was only possible because of the support we received from Businesses and People like you. The Aubrey Rose Foundation has been actively involved in making a difference in children’s lives for the past 20 years.  The need to help children with life-threatening medical conditions does not stop with Mikey. We have 67 Families in need of over $500,000.00 in medical bills for their sick child. We are reaching out to you hoping you will be willing to help.  Donors don’t simply give money.  They Save Lives, they Feed the Hungry, and so much more.

In 2020 The Aubrey Rose Foundation was only able to host one fundraiser because of Covid 19.  In a normal year the Foundation hosts Six Fundraisers.  These Fundraisers are critical to our mission, helping families who have children with life-threatening medical conditions.  We are a Non-Profit 501 (c) 3 and 100% volunteer operated Foundation. We are looking forward to our Fundraiser “Let’s Dance for the Heart of It” on November 6, 2021.

Jerry & Nancy Hollenkamp founded the Aubrey Rose Foundation, in 2001 in memory of their daughter Aubrey.  Aubrey fought for her life from her first breath, smiling thru each and every unbelievable medical challenge she faced, including a heart and double lung transplant.  Tragically Aubrey passed away just two days before her 3rd birthday in November, 2000.   Jerry and Nancy knew that, while Aubrey’s work on earth was complete, theirs had just begun.  Three months to the date of Aubrey’s death, the Aubrey Rose Foundation was founded.  Tireless efforts to help others are driven by that beautiful smile, and haven’t ceased for close to 19 years.  A little girl that passed many years ago but is still impacting the lives and families of other sick children.  We hope you will help us and preserve Aubrey’s legacy by supporting the Foundation in their work.

The Aubrey Rose Foundation Mission–help as many families & children with life threatening medical conditions as possible.  Jerry and Nancy know all too well that, in the blink of an eye, life can easily become seemingly impossible when you have the unfathomable worry over a sick child combined with the tremendous financial burden that comes with the illness and necessary care.  The Aubrey Rose Foundation and its army of dedicated volunteers help to rejuvenate these families on as many levels as possible so they can continue to take care of their sick and healthy children.  Financial funding granted to those in need can be attributed to anything deemed medically necessary for the child.  Examples include, but aren’t limited to, service dogs for seizure patients, a bathroom system designed specifically for a child in a wheelchair, and numerous hospital, doctor and therapy-related bills.

As I’m sure you can imagine, none of this can be done without the help of you and others.  I hope you agree and will do all you can.  On November 6, 2021, will mark our 20th annual “Let’s Dance for the Heart of It” semi-formal Dance.  Our theme this year is “Puttin’ On The Ritz.”  The evening of fun & festivities entertains approximately 300 guests in the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza’s Caprice & Pavilion Rooms.  It includes dinner, dancing to “Chozen Few Band”, a Silent Auction jammed packed with fabulous finds.  We also will be awarding, “Above and Beyond Doctor of the Year” to one of ten doctors that will be nominated by their patients and staff.  The funds raised from this event will go into our Medical Relief Fund to help the many families with hospital bills, doctor bills therapy bills, prescriptions, equipment, and medical tests.
