Lietz Elementary School prides itself on serving a socioeconomically diverse community in the Union School District. Our Lietz Home and School Club provides financial and volunteer support to the students, teachers, and programs of our school. On April 26, 2024, the Lietz HSC will be celebrating our Annual Auction Fundraiser, one of our largest fundraisers of the year. With support from local businesses, this event directly supports our students and critically underfunded programs at our school, such as art and music education, field trips and transportation, classroom supplies, technology, and equipment. Lietz has previously been recognized as a Gold Ribbon School, in addition to receiving the Title I Academic Achievement Award from the California Department of Education for demonstrated success in significantly closing the achievement gap between high and low-performing students. We are very proud of these past recognitions, as they acknowledge the daily investments that Lietz staff make in all of our children.
