On Monday, June 2, we will host our 27th Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner
Auction at Forest Hills Country Club in Chesterfield, MO. We are consistently told
that our tournament is one of the best in the region!
Tournament proceeds will fund our literacy-focused youth programs: Young
Scholars, Freedom School Literacy Summer Camp, and LifeWise Academy. As
a Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School Program site, we have stopped the 1 ½
to 3 months learning loss ("summer slide") that our kids normally experience. In fact,
many of our scholars experience reading gains during our summer program!
Our LifeWise Academy program nurtures each teen scholar’s potential, fostering
their resilience, and preparing them for post-secondary success through academic
enrichment, social-emotional support, life skills, and job readiness activities during a
critical period of their development.
How can you help? Purchase a sponsorship or donate an auction item that
attendees would enjoy. Ideas include gift cards, gift baskets, professional services,
sports memorabilia, and more! Please include promotional materials with your
donation so our attendees can connect with you after the event.
