Description

San Mateo Police Activities League (PAL) seeks to improve the lives of our youth through positive, interactive experiences with police officers and to build a safer society by steering our youth away from crime and delinquency.  We offer preventative and educational programs, as well as athletics, art, outdoor programs, and leadership for kids ages 5 to 18 for free or at a nominal cost.

For over twenty years, we have impacted the lives of youth and their families.  We annually provide hundreds of life changing opportunities for our kids to participate in.  We focus on serving those children in our community who are at-risk, low income, or who are vulnerable to outside negative influences.  We work hard to promote the physical, social and psychological development of youth and help to "Build the Bond Between Cops and Kids."

On Friday, March 22, 2024, we will host San Mateo PAL’s Annual Lights & Sirens Awards & Recognition Dinner. This event includes approximately 350 guests, a reception/dinner, live & silent auctions, an award & recognition ceremony, entertainment, and a heartfelt video showcasing PAL's accomplishments over the past year.

The Lights & Sirens event is held to raise valuable funds to support our programming and services, which we offer to our PAL kids for low or no cost. San Mateo PAL is a 501c (3) non-profit organization, and our mission is to keep kids in school, on track, out of gangs, jail, and away from troubled behaviors.

The Lights & Sirens is San Mateo PAL’s largest fundraiser of the year, helping us raise the necessary funds to fulfill our mission, and we hope you will feel inspired to support our Kids and us!  Thank you for your consideration. Every dollar San Mateo PAL raises enables us to make a brighter future for our PAL kids.  We offer youth members hundreds of activities and services every year to help build the bond between cops and kids, provide career development, leadership skills, Health and athletic activities, Life skills classes, and more.  All our activities help to keep kids off the streets and involved in positive activities.

You will be recognized in the evening program and website events.  You will also receive a donation receipt letter with the Tax ID number for your records.
