Gala/Party for Infants Remembered in Silence, IncMar 12, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM
A fundraising evening to get all dressed up in your favorite Little Black Dress & accessorize with "Flair" items in support of Infants Remembered In Silence an organization that works with people who have a child during pregnancy - early childhood.
2010 - The first annual Little Black Dress event was held in 2010 at the Owatonna Country Club and was called the "Red Flair Affair" and benefited the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Over 260 women enjoyed a fun evening of getting dressed up and raising over $6,000 for a great organization.
2011 - The second Little Black Dress event was held in 2011 was called "Pink Flair Affair" in support of Breast Cancer Awareness & Support. This Girls Night Out drew over 300 women!!! $7,000 was raised at this event and went to the following charities and activities.
$1,500 to Loving Hands
$1,750 to local salons for pampering spa treatments to be distributed at the Owatonna Clinic Infusion Therapy to breast cancer patients
$3,750 to the Making Strides Owatonna event
2012 - The 3rd annual event The "Cheetah Flair" raised $9,200 for Early Childhood Programs and raised money for The Early Learning Network and Parent Provider Connection.
2013 - The 4th annual event The "Vintage Flair" raised $5,000 for I.R.I.S. (Infants Remembered In Silence) and the Steele County Clothesline.
2014 - The 5th annual event, The "Purple Flair" raised $10,013 for the Steele County Relay for Life.
That is over $37,000! Thanks!
2015 - The 6th year and we are supporting the Lily Sparrow House with our "Masquerade Flair"
2016 - 7th Annual LBD with Pearl Flair.
2017 - Infants Remembered In Silence (IRIS) took over the LBD and spent the year researching and developing the current LBD.
2018 - IRIS hosted the Little Black Dress Mad Hatter Flair Affair raised $8,016 for IRIS.
2019 - The LBD Around the World Flair Affair raised $9,560 for IRIS.
2020 - The LBD Roaring 20's raised $9,658 for IRIS. Covid closed the State of MN the following week.
2021 - The LBD was Canceled because of COVID.
2022 - The Little Black Dress is back! This years theme is Tutu's and Tiara's and features Miss Minnesota - Elle Mark as our guest speaker.
We are hoping to continue this great event and change the "flair" each year. The LBD benefits the Infants Remembered In Silence © a 501(c)3 Nonprofit organization.
