Throughout the more than 30-year history of the Long Island State Veterans Home, our staff and volunteers have taken great pride in providing comprehensive long term care to more than 15,000 men and women who so valiantly risked their lives in defense of our nation.  Our residents have come from all walks of life, represented all branches of service, fought in virtually every major conflict and share a common bond so profound that few who have not served will ever comprehend. Their service and unyielding commitment to honor, duty and country, paved the way for the freedom and prosperity each of us as Americans enjoys today. Located in Stony Brook, New York, the Long Island State Veterans Home and its 501c(3) organization (Stony Brook Foundation) is dedicated to delivering high quality and compassionate skilled nursing care to veterans of the United States Armed Forces.

 In an effort to continue to improve the quality of care we provide for our veterans and their families, on Thursday, September 29th, 2022, we will host our Twentieth Annual Golf Classic at the Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mt. Sinai, New York.  Our goal will be to raise $100,000 which will be used to enhance resident programs and services during the coming year.

We are reaching out to you in asking for your assistance in making this year’s fundraiser a success.  We would be most grateful if you would consider helping support our military heroes by donating items that could be used in our grand prize raffle drawing or silent auction.  For your contribution, we will recognize your company throughout the outing with signage on the golf course, at the dinner/auction events, distribute your company’s promotional/marketing materials and designate special recognition of your company on all printed programs. We believe our golf outing will be a great opportunity to promote your company to the New York market and serve as a great gesture of support for the military veterans who proudly served our nation.
