The Los Angeles House of Ruth, a non-profit organization in Los Angeles County which provides shelter, meals and services for homeless and battered women with children from throughout Los Angeles County, is hosting our annual fundraiser - LOTERIA OLÉ Bingo Night and silent auction - at 6 p.m., October 1, 2022 at St. Cyril’s Parish, 15520 Ventura Bl. in Encino CA.  Please join us as a sponsor of Los Angeles House of Ruth's LOTERIA OLÉ fundraiser. We need your support to enable us to provide after-school programs, trips to see the doctors, school supplies, family outings, and other things for which most government funding is restricted. It is only through non-governmental donations without restrictions that we are able to go the extra mile for our clients, which makes a huge difference and is a key factor to our outstanding success. 100% of the funds raised will go to help these homeless families off the streets and into shelters and ultimately into homes of their own! 

For forty-four years  - since 1978, the Los Angeles House of Ruth has been a safe haven for homeless and battered women with children — one of only a handful of such specialized shelters in greater Los Angeles. It is the mission of the Los Angeles House of Ruth to provide transitional and emergency housing, permanent supportive housing and permanent housing for homeless and battered women & their children.  Funds raised from this event will go towards our shelters which provide a temporary home, healthy meals, clothing as well as classes and supportive services to help the families get back on their own feet. 

When homeless women and children receive the services they need in a timely and engaging manner they can overcome obstacles to self-sufficiency. We have proven that in the last 44 years of service, by providing shelter and services to over 8,000 women and children, achieved a 95% annual success rate in placing families into permanent housing, and a 95% rate in keeping them there long-term.  Our status as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non--‐profit organization means that your contribution is 100% tax deductible. Your donation can also provide valuable exposure for your organization.  In‐kind donations will have the donor’s name prominently displayed both on the item, on our website, www.losangeleshouseofruth.com, and in our event program.  Over 200 people will be at the event and supporters, like you, will be listed in the program, our newsletter, social media and on our website unless otherwise requested.
