Canine Classmates matches struggling and at-risk elementary students with a trained service dog and a mentor for weekly literacy intervention sessions. Your contribution provides 6,500 essential literacy intervention sessions for over 475 elementary students on 23 campuses in Comal County, TX.

Our annual gala attracts ~ 250 attendees from throughout Comal County for raffles, silent/live auctions, student presentations, dinner and dancing. Attendee demographics are quite diverse as we attract couples in their thirties throuth their seventies who feel passionately about the importance of childhood literacy.

We work very hard to promote our donors and sponsors at the event. We feel that they are partnering with Canine Classmates in our literacy intervention mission. Donors are acknowledged with posters, brochures, business cards, and menus.
