The Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization holds its  Annual Magnolia Party on Saturday April 15, 2023 at 4:30 pm.  This signature event commemorates the historic magnolia tree which still stands in front of the Arts Center where Matthew Vassar cut a flowering stem and placed it on Abraham Lincoln’s coffin as his funeral train passed through Poughkeepsie in April of 1865.  This annual party is a fabulous fundraiser supporting the ongoing preservation and maintenance of the two historic, landmark Victorian structures that house the Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center located at 9 & 12 Vassar Street in Poughkeepsie, NY.
