Rise Up Chorus is proud to announce "Make Music Happen," a Virtual Online Auction. Baskets include a 10 week Max Challenge for 2, a pair of Lenox Candlesticks, an Air Fryer, Violin or Fiddle lessons, a free full-day Boat rental on Lake Hopatcong, handmade items, a basket of Mary Kay products, a Pandora bracelet and so much more.
Rise Up Chorus is a non-profit registered 501(c)(3c) charity. What makes Rise Up Chorus different from other choruses? We do not charge tuition and we do not hold auditions. Some of our members are professionally trained singers and others are just learning to sing. We have members of all ages, religions and ethnicities. Our Artisitic Director, Matthew LaPine continues to choose challenging and diverse music selections for our performances. Past concerts have included music by African American composers, a performance for the Menlo Park Veterans Home, and a Halloween-themed concert. We have partnered with our local community by singing for the annual Memorial Day Parade Ceremony as well as Caroling throughout the downtown area.
Since Rise Up Chorus has no membership fees, all of our expenses must be met by Grants, ticket sales, donations and fundraising events. Among these expenses are rent, insurance, the cost of purchasing printed music, accounting software and stipends for our musical Directors and Accompanist. Three of our most recently scheduled concerts had to be cancelled, resulting in lost revenue. It is the hope of Rise Up Chorus that this auction will help us raise the funds necessary to continue bringing our community together to sing.
