Make the Magic
Gala/Party for Camp Kesem National - Temple UniversityMar 16, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Kesem is the leading national nonprofit that supports children affected by a parent’s cancer. Founded in 2000, Kesem’s community of more than 5,000 volunteer college student leaders at more than 130 college campus chapters across the country provide year-round programs and services to support these children ages 6-18 at no cost to families.
Here at Kesem at Temple University, we welcome all children who have been affected by a parent or guardian’s cancer. We believe there is power in community and we’re proud to serve families from all walks of life facing unique challenges with their cancer journey. In 2023, we helped nearly 45 children in the Philadelphia area cope with the impact their parent’s cancer has had on their lives. Today, five million children have a parent or guardian who is experiencing or has experienced cancer. You can help make a difference and support more of these children who have been affected by a parent’s cancer.
Our Make the Magic event is “fun with a mission.” It’s an inspiring evening beginning with a cocktail reception, followed by great food and programming. In addition to this, guests hear firsthand from campers, parents, and others involved in the Camp Kesem community about the effect Kesem has had on their lives. It’s also a tremendous way to connect with other members of the Kesem family and discover ways to continue and expand Kesem’s mission.
