FIBRODYSPLASIA OSSIFICANS PROGRESSIVA (FOP) IS A RARE DEBILITATING GENETIC CONDITION IN WHICH MUSCLES.
TENDONS, AND LIGAMENTS GRADUALLY TURN INTO BONE, PROGRESSIVELY RESTRICTING MOVEMENT. THOSE WITH FOP HAVE A HEALTHY MIND HOWEVER, ARE IMPRISONED IN A FROZEN BODY . UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS CURRENTLY NO CURE FOR FOP. THE INTERNATIONAL FIBRODYSPLASIA OSSIFICANS PROGRESSIVA ASSOCIATION WAS CREATED TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE FOP COMMUNITY WORLDWIDE. THEY WORK TO RAISE FUNDS FOR RESEARCH, AS WELL AS SUPPORTS.
