Description

Please join us in continuing a 47 year tradition of supporting the students of the Rosa Parks Japanese Bilingual Bicultural Program (RPJBBP). Rosa Parks Elementary School is part of the San Francisco Unified School District and is a hidden gem located in the Western Addition neighboring Japantown.  The school offers the Japanese Bilingual Bicultural Program (JBBP) in which native Japanese-speaking sensei (instructors), along with regular elementary school teachers, teach over 250 children the Japanese language and cultural heritage, fostering a lifelong love of learning and opening their minds to a global view. The JBBP serves a diverse population of students from the neighborhood and throughout the city and has been one the SFUSD’s great success stories!

To raise funds for this outstanding program, we hold an Annual Celebration and Fundraiser attended by hundreds of families and other members of the community.  This year, our 2019-20 Matsuri-themed fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at St Mary’s Cathedral, where everyone can enjoy games, eat delicious food, participate in a silent and live auction, and listen to live music.

We hope you will consider supporting our efforts with a tax-deductible donation of goods and/or services for our silent and live auctions, purchase of an ad in our program and/or a monetary donation. With your help, we can continue to provide the children of the RPJBBP receive a strong Japanese language and cultural program in addition to their regular elementary school education.   Funds raised will support field trips, classroom supplies and additional needs of the program and school.  And it will help make this year’s auction another truly enjoyable event in San Francisco!

With your participation, your company’s name will be included in our brochure for the event, which is a great way to promote your business to an involved local audience.
