Description
The 5th annual 5KXCV-KRNW Run for Radio is a fundraiser for the public radio station on the Northwest Missouri State University campus, and an incentive for people throughout the region to get up and get active.
Since we're a public radio station with an audience in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska, we hold a virtual 5K which allows participants the chance to run or walk their 5K anytime during a two-week window. At the conclusion of the two weeks, we deliver prizes to fastest finishers and those that win our raffles. We also feature all of our runners and walkers on social media as they complete their 5K and send us their results and photos.
We average just over 100 participants yearly for the event.
