We are so pleased to be able to put on such a wonderful event for our Young Marines! Please reach below for all the event details. 

Since October 17, 1965, The Young Marines Birthday Ball has been celebrated throughout the world. This year marks the 64th year since the Young Marines were founded in 1959! This celebration commemorates the values of our Young Marines program which are, honor, courage and commitment. 

MCAS Tustin Young Marines will host all of our Young Marines, families, sponsors, and VIP’s. We encourage everyone to attend this special event! Please do not miss this amazing experience of a Young Marine Birthday Ball, which emulates the United States Marine Corps Birthday Ball. Let us recognize our Young Marines for all of their hard work, and most importantly, the time they have given throughout our communities. There will be a Ceremony performed by select Young Marines, great food, guest speaker, dancing, and a raffle for a chance to win a great gift. The staff and parent volunteers have been working very hard to put together this special event to honor these wonderful kids.

Date: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2023 

Location: Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center 24932 Veterans Way, Mission Viejo, CA 92692; Juniper Room. 

Price: $50/Person 

Schedule: Arrival: 3:30PM; Pre-Ball Social: 3:30-4:00PM; Adjutants Call (all personnel seated) 4:00PM; Ceremony: 4:00-4:30PM; Guest of Honor: 4:30-4:50PM; MCAS Tustin YMOY: 4:50-5:00PM; Dinner and Dancing: 5:00-7:00PM; Awards/Raffle: 7:00-7:30PM. 

GUEST DRESS ATTIRE: Formal 

YOUNG MARINE DRESS ATTIRE: Young Marines ranked Private through Lance Corporal must wear the woodland pattern camouflage uniform with ribbons. Young Marines ranked Corporal or higher are to wear Service "C" Charlie uniform. Young Marines ranked Staff Sergeant or higher are authorized to wear Service "A" Alpha uniform if available. 

Last Day to Purchase Tickets: October 18, 2023 by 11:59pm (Link will be disabled at this time) 

IMPORTANT: ALL YOUNG MARINES ATTENDING WITHOUT A PARENT/GUARDIAN NEED TO BE WALKED TO THE BALLROOM AND SIGNED IN/OUT. 

TICKET CHECKOUT: When finalizing your ticket purchase, please answer the questions regarding ticket holder’s name and email address when prompted to ensure proper seating arrangements. If we do not have this information, there is a possibility your party will not be seated together. Once seating is arranged there will be no adjustments. 

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE: Be sure to either print or save your ticket barcode to your phone. If you do not have your ticket, you will not be permitted within the ballroom. Upon ticket scan, all ticketed guests will receive a non-removable wristband. If you are caught without a wristband, you will be billed for the ticket and be required to leave. Once again, ONLY ticketed guests with a wristband will be permitted into the ballroom. 

Social Hour: You will be permitted into the ballroom at 1530 (3:30 PM). This gives our guests and families time to mingle and get to know our Young Marines. 

Ceremony Time & LATE ARRIVALS: The Young Marines Ceremony starts promptly at 1600 (4:00 PM) and you will not be permitted into the ballroom until the retirement of colors. NO EXCEPTIONS. The doors will close at 4:00 PM for the start of the Ceremony and open back up at 4:30 PM. ***Please be on time****.

RAFFLE BASKETS: Raffle baskets will be available to view prior to the Ceremony. Additional raffle tickets will be sold at the door if interested. Please bring CASH ONLY to help support our unit for this drawing. 

YOUNG MARINE CHALLENGE COINS: These funds go directly towards our Unit as a fundraiser in support of the many events and our Young Marine of the Year! We are excited to have you join us as we celebrate our Young Marines and their OUTSTANDING dedication to the Young Marine organization! See you there!
