I am writing on behalf of the McSpedden Elementary PTA to request a donation for our annual Fun Run scheduled to take place on November 3rd. McSpedden Elementary’s 740+ students will collect pledges from friends and family members before participating in an obstacle-style Fun Run with their classmates. Each year our mission is to be a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 through individual donations and sponsorships.
 
The big-budget item we are raising funds for this year is to add a book vending machine to the school. The book vending machine will be used as an incentive program for students throughout the school year. Our goal is to be able to gift a book to every child during the school year. Also, funds will go towards STEAM consumables, classroom wish list items and programs like: Drum Café, Rock Your School, Multicultural Night, and our STEAM Carnival. We’re asking for your involvement to encourage our students & staff participation.  The Fun Run provides an opportunity to promote your company and support the teachers and students of McSpedden Elementary.
 
Please consider supporting our event by donating an item we can use for raffle or overall prizes. The raffle will occur about 1 week after our fundraising period. Please consider donating passes, tickets, gift cards/vouchers, a goodie bag, or another non-monetary item to excite the students and staff to raise funds for our school.
 
If you are able to contribute something, please reach out to me and we can coordinate pick up of the items. ALL donations are tax-deductible as long as you can give us a monetary evaluation of the items donated. We will provide a donation receipt letter with the PTA’s tax-exempt ID number for your records.
