Description

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Luis Sandoval, I am the Development Director for Building Skills Partnership (BSP), a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of working families through education and career opportunities for immigrant workers. This August 29th, BSP is hosting its annual Mike Garcia Scholarship Gala, a cornerstone event benefiting first-generation, college-bound students and children of low-wage immigrant workers. Our event will be held in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, and include food from local restaurants, live music, and a silent auction. The statewide supports studetns with scholarship across Caliofornia.

I write this email to invite you to participate in our event by making a donation towards our silent auction. All donations are tax deductible and your organization will be recognized in printed and electronic material displayed at the event which draws over 200 guests. Can we count on you supporting the children of low-wage immigrant workers through your donation of an item for our silent auction?

Since 2007, the Mike Garcia Scholarship program has supported working families who dream of their children attending college. Unfortunately, the combination of their low-wages and the increasing cost of tuition prevents many from providing the financial support needed for their children to pursue a higher education. Each year, BSP awards the scholarship to students who demonstrate extraordinary perseverance and determination to attend college in the face of multiple barriers.

If interested in being involved in our event, please let me know. For more information you find the event link here

Thank you in advance for your time and I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
