The Mini Maniac Youth Triathlon is an annual youth triathlon for children ages 7-14, held at the historic Cedar Beach located in beautiful Mout Sinai, NY.  It is Long Island's largest youth-only triathlon, hosted by the Lightning Warriors, a Long Island based not-for profit youth triathlon team focused on making the sport of triathlon available to ALL young athletes, regardless of background, ethnicity, religion, or socio-economic status.  

Youth athletes travel from New England and Mid Atlantic regions to attend this fun and exciting event consisting of a 100-200m open water swim in the calm, waist high waters of the Long Island Sound, a 2-4 mile bike alongside Mount Sinai Harbor, and a 1/2-1 mile run course along the beach.  This year brand new spash and dash option will be available for our youngest athletes! 

Proceeds from this race and the accompanying raffle will be used to cover training and facilities costs for the members of the Lightning Warriors as well as promote this up and coming sport to families who are not yet part of the triathlon community.
