Description

As they say, “It takes a village to raise a child.” 

My children attend Miraloma Elementary, a public school in San Francisco. Miraloma is made up of a community of parents and families who work tirelessly to ensure that our children can learn in a safe and inclusive environment. To help support these efforts, I am volunteering to solicit donations for the school's annual fundraising auction.

Miraloma Elementary is the home of a diverse and inclusive community that respects and celebrates the differences and strengths of each individual.  Our mission is to nurture the whole child through dynamic learning experiences that spark their curiosity and guide them to uncover new interests, passions and creative expression.

As you may know, the amount of funding for public schools is only enough for the basics. Miraloma ES does not qualify for extra funding under Title 1 requirements so our PTA must raise money to provide art education, P.E., garden and outdoor science, literacy and math support, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) education, and much more. These programs help close the gap, allowing us to create a holistic educational experience for our kids.

Our auction will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
