Mesquite ISD provides complimentary breakfast & lunch for all students, aiming to foster a welcoming environment where every student, particularly those facing financial challenges, is encouraged to enjoy nutritious breakfasts and lunches. Our initiative seeks to eliminate any negative perceptions associated with students dining in the lunchroom. To promote participation, we organize engaging raffles and events during lunch hours. Additionally, at the conclusion of each academic year, we host a special appreciation event to express gratitude to our dedicated cafeteria staff. Recognizing that their contributions are invaluable, we understand that we may not be able to compensate them adequately, but we make every effort to convey our heartfelt thanks for their crucial role in nourishing our students.
