Each year three remarkable Missourians, who have overcome many challenges to make life better for themselves, others, and their communities, are selected to receive the Missouri Mental Health Champions’ award. The Champions' Banquet has been creating memories for more than ten years for our Mental Health Champions and Lasting Legacy award recipients, as well as families, friends, advocates, sponsors, and the general public, who are dedicated to the cause of raising awareness and public understanding of issues impacting individuals and families living with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. This event highlights the stories of Champions and nominees and their resilience, committment, advocacy, and dedication to pushing the envelope in mental health education and prevention to eliminate stigma.
