Description

Monroe-Woodbury Music Boosters is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization run solely by parent volunteers of dedicated and passionate music students.

We believe that music is an essential and irreplaceable part of a student’s education and intellectual development. The mission of the Monroe-Woodbury Music Boosters organization is to encourage and support musical participation and achievement throughout the school community. Monies we raise throughout the year help support annual music scholarships for students in grades 4 through 12, enrichment opportunities, special performances, workshops, and competitions. This year we will be awarding over 18K.

On June 8th, the Village of Monroe, NY will kick off its summer at the ponds concert series with the 3rd Annual "Monroe's got Talent" where Monroe-Woodbury students (past and present to age 25) get to show off their talent in front of their community. This show has been a huge hit and this year we saw our 2022 2nd place winner Julia Roome appear on The Voice.  Over 500 people attended this event last year and once again Monroe-Woodbury Music Booster is partnering with the Village and raffling off various baskets to raise monies for our music students.  This event is held at Crane Park in Monroe (AKA The Millponds).

We love to show our gratitude to the business who donate to our booster. We showcase our donors and baskets on our local Facebook pages in advance of the concert.  We always present our donations in a professional style as we believe this is an essential tool in making a fundraiser successful. In addition, we display a large thank you board show casing our donors as well as announcing a thank you to the businesses who supported us. Our final step is a simple one, we ALWAYS send a thank you note to the business who has donated. I guess we are just old fashioned in that respect.
