Description

Montera Middle School is preparing to host our big annual fundraiser, an Online Auction and a Live Community Benefit, on April 13, 2024, at Zanzi in Oakland, and we are asking for your support and donation.

Can we count on you to support our local school?

About Montera: We are truly one of the most diverse public schools in Oakland. We are a Title 1 school serving 650 students grades 6-8. While our students come from vastly different socioeconomic backgrounds, a great percentage of our students qualify for free lunch. All of our students share dreams of succeeding in school and ultimately in life. Providing a positive middle school experience makes a huge impact on their future success.

You can help us by:

  • Donating gift cards in any amount, or offer discount codes/coupons to your business
  • Donating products or services to include in our auction
  • Sponsoring Montera (and getting great community visibility!)

Your donation will support meaningful programs at Montera, including:

  • Social-emotional and positive conflict resolution workshops and support
  • Support with technology, musical instruments, and sports equipment repairs and purchases
  • Mini-grants for special teacher projects, lunchtime clubs, and student supplies
  • Montera Relief Fund for families in need

Mission Statement: Montera Middle School aims to provide all students with a supportive environment and rigorous curriculum through which they develop into inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring lifelong learners utilizing their creative talents to help build a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
