Each year Montgomery Blair High School sponsors an After Prom celebration at the school, and we're preparing again this year to host at least 800 students the night of Saturday May 21st (with many parents and volunteers working the event). We're very fortunate to have local businesses providing community support for the event by donating certificates, products & services, which we are able to raffle off during the night as prizes for the students attending - and it's a great way for our business partners to advertise with a very large crowd of potential customers in the area.

After Prom is a safe, drug-and-alcohol-free celebration held at Blair for juniors and seniors immediately following their prom. National, state and county officials have endorsed After Prom celebrations as highly effective in reducing alcohol-related tragedies on prom night. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that teen fatalities in drunk driving crashes during prom season weekends have declined by 65% since first measured in 1982. 

Blair’s After Prom is run and funded solely by parents, educators, and community leaders. Donations of merchandise or gift certificates will be used as door prizes to encourage attendance at the event.
