Description

We are thrilled to announce our first Superintendent's Casino Night Gala. As with all our fundraisers, the profits from this event will go towards the Foundation's Scholarship Fund. What sets this fund apart is that it's not just for students who plan to attend college but also for those who wish to enter the workforce upon graduation. These students are eligible to apply for and receive an award, which will assist them in purchasing the necessary tools and equipment they need to succeed in the transition from school to career. Every year, the Monty Tech Foundation looks forward to granting scholarships and awards totaling over $40,000 to exceptional students!

We serve a predominantly low-income population - so we established this Foundation to provide scholarships (for those going on to college) and tool and equipment grants (for those going directly into a career) upon graduation.  The cost of college is skyrocketing; without these scholarships, our students would not have access to advanced training.  Likewise, those students who enter the workforce are required to have their own tools, steel-toe boots, technology, etc., and they may not have the funding for that.  The Monty Tech Foundation is working to host fundraisers this year to increase the support we can offer, and we expect it to be a fun night and a successful fundraiser!

That said, we always reach out to area businesses who are very generous, donating items, sports tickets, raffle baskets, etc.  That is where we tend to make the most money at these events.  We are now trying to reach out to businesses just beyond our immediate area who may offer highly desired items/experiences to see if they would donate because things like this would no doubt be a draw in themselves.
