The Center for Courageous Kids (CCK) is a nonprofit, medical camp located in Scottsville, Kentucky, that provides a fully-accessible camping experience for kids that have serious and chronic illnesses FREE OF CHARGE! CCK works to transform a child’s idea of what normal feels like by creating an adaptable environment that caters to each camper’s specific needs without hesitation. These children redefine what ABILITY means and defeat the labels that society has by going fishing and boating, shooting archery, writing songs and creating art, bowling, and swimming! CCK relies on generous contributions and donations from individuals, corporations, healthcare partners, foundations, and the community.

CCK hosts several events throughout the year to raise money that may benefit the campers that attend! This signature annual events was called Moonshine & Music and we decided to give it a fresh name change: Stars & 6 Strings.  The event was created to serve as a platform to show the community that our program areas, especially music, are reclaiming a piece of our campers’ childhood. At Stars & 6 Strings, there boasts several opportunities to donate through a live and silent auction, tickets for seats, and a Wine Pull!
