Description

On Sunday, May 12, Breast Cancer Canada’s annual Mother’s Day Walk will welcome more than 500 participants to Mississauga’s Streetsville Memorial Park. This annual event has been honouring breast cancer patients and survivors and raising critical funds to support breast cancer research for more than 30 years, and we are requesting your support to help make this year’s event our most successful walk ever!

In addition to our Mississauga event, supporters will be lacing up their shoes across Canada through virtual and grassroots initiatives with one goal in mind – to end breast cancer.

This is your chance to be a part of something really special! In addition to gaining national exposure and helping to raise vital funds for breast cancer research through our national auction and raffle activities, your support of this year’s event will demonstrate to our participants and supporters that you are with them...every step of the way.

Research has shown us that there are more than 50 types of breast cancer - each with their own unique challenges and demands, and the research projects that this year’s event will fund will directly impact the lives of breast cancer patients by developing new diagnostic tools and treatment plans.

In Canada, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and with the help of our supporters, community partners and Breast Cancer Canada will continue to fund research until breast cancer is no longer a life-threatening disease for our mothers, sisters and daughters.

To make a silent auction or raffle prize donation, confirm a sponsorship, or to discuss your interest in our Mother’s Day activities further, you can reach me directly by email at bbrooks@ breastcancerprogress.ca or by telephone at 1.800.567.8767, ext. 702. I would be pleased to discuss other ways that you could get involved if you have other ideas in mind.
